This recording was the result of a local church's Bible memory program. It contains twenty-nine Scripture songs proclaiming salvation through Jesus Christ. The moving tunes and musical arrangments combined with Bible passages bring out the deep and beautiful significance of the gospel.

The Gospel of John, in the Bible, speaks of Jesus as The Light (hence the title), and considering the heavenly and glorious subject of the music, a beautiful sunrise and golden lettering were fitting for the design.
