Ryan Farrington

Well, my name is, of course, Ryan Farrington. I was born on August 30, 1983 and I live in Seymour, Connecticut. I am an amateur radio operator; call sign KB1FOB. I have one brother, Kenneth, who is two and a half years older than I am; He is also a "ham," KB1EPU. My parents have also gotten licensed as hams. Dad's call sign is KB1GEB, and Mom's is KB1HSY.

I have never gone to any "conventional" schools, for I have been homeschooled all my life and graduated in June 2000. I thoroughly enjoyed the homeschool experience! I started attending Southern Connecticut State University in the fall of 2001, majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Communications.

I have been employed for three years in the sign and printing industry, designing and making signs, and I recently started my own business out of my home: New Creation Graphic Arts (www.ncgraphicarts.com).

I play a few instruments too: piano, guitar, ukulele, bodhrán (Irish folk drum), tin whistle, and I have dabbled with the oboe. My favorite composers are Bach, Handel, and Tchaikovsky, and I like some of Schumann and Schubert's music. I enjoy Irish or Celtic music also. Over the past couple of years I have composed a few orchestral pieces of my own on the computer, which you can hear on my Music page. I have several other compositions half-started!.

I like to sing hymns and Christian songs also.

On December 7, 1991, when I was eight years old, I became a Christian. I realized that I was sinful and that because of my sin God would not have fellowship with me as He did with my parents. So I confessed to Him that I was a sinner and asked Him to forgive all my sins. That evening I believed that Jesus Christ died for me on the cross, and that by trusting in that fact, I would be forgiven of my sin, and God would walk with me through my whole life. And when I die, I will go to heaven to be with God forever!

You can have that same fellowship with God too!
